BestMediaInfo reported on 10 June 2025 that Pulp Strategy had introduced NeuroRank, a service to help brands stay visible as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity change online search behavior. The report contrasted traditional SEO, built on rankings and indexing, with AI-driven search, which rewards being named and cited in the answer.

Rankings and indexing give way to presence in the answer

BestMediaInfo set out the core difference. Traditional search engine optimization works on rankings and indexing. AI-driven search asks whether a brand is named and cited in the generated response. NeuroRank was built for that second question, with a set of capabilities to align brand content with how language models select and structure information.

The framework at launch

The report listed the framework as it stood. It assessed brand presence in AI answers and reformatted content into machine-readable question-and-answer and schema-rich formats. It placed brands on sources models use, such as Reddit and Quora, linked brand, author, and topic to raise citation potential, and tested repeatedly across AI platforms.

Pulp Strategy also cited an internal case study, in which a mid-market SaaS company saw its cost per marketing-qualified lead fall 22 percent eight weeks after adopting NeuroRank.

NeuroRank has since become a SaaS platform, launched globally in May 2026.

Brand Inclusion Score replaces rank as the base metric

The Brand Inclusion Score is the share of tracked responses in which the brand is named, from 0 to 100. NeuroRank computes it per prompt, per cluster, per country, per model, and in aggregate. Recommendation is reported separately, so a brand that is named often and recommended rarely shows both facts.

Ambika Sharma’s warning to strategists was direct.

“If you’re building strategy on traditional SEO metrics, you’re already late.”

Ambika Sharma, Founder, NeuroRank in BestMediaInfo, 10 June 2025

Late was a strong word in June 2025, and I meant it for planners. A strategy built on rankings measures the page a buyer no longer reads. The metrics that matter now are whether a brand is named in the answer, recommended, and cited, measured model by model. A plan that tracks those is on time.
