Why I built NeuroRank.
I have spent twenty years in the trenches of brand strategy, helping names you know win the hearts of people. But I noticed something that should worry all marketers: the most important “customer” in your journey is no longer a human, it is an algorithm.
I didn’t set out to build software. I set out to build the one thing I couldn’t find, a way to make sure the machines don’t ignore you.

The biography

A science student who went on to study Shakespeare. A software developer who studied advertising. Ambika Sharma's career is a lifelong love story with communication and its strategic arts. Ambika studied design thinking at Stanford and completed her executive education at INSEAD.
Prior to founding Pulp Strategy, Ambika Sharma served as Chief Operating Officer of Jagran Solutions, the services arm of Jagran Prakashan Limited. Earlier tenures with Encompass, part of the WPP Group, and with the Mudra Group, built her grounding in advertising, technology, and marketing innovation at scale.
As the founder of Pulp Strategy, a business transformation partner that combines strategic foresight with execution to accelerate growth, optimize performance, and strengthen market leadership, she has led the firm to 124+ international and national awards. An opinion leader for the marketing industry, Ambika Sharma has served on the PMAA and MAA Globes jury panels since 2008, is a published author for industry media, and is a recognized GEO consultant and AI visibility expert.
Under her leadership, Pulp Strategy has a pattern of building what is missing. In 2015, the firm launched Instappy, a cloud-based Rapid Mobile Application Development platform that let businesses build native iOS and Android apps without code. In 2024, it launched Yukti, India’s first AI humanoid agent, now deployed as a demo and subject matter expert for leading brands including Glenmark and Tata. Beyond work, Ambika Sharma is a certified search and rescue diver, a state-ranked shooter, a national medalist in swimming, an equestrian, and an avid motorcyclist.
